Start with the job, not the supplier country
A retailer replenishing a proven product and a factory buying a new production line need different evidence. Write down the intended use, quantity, delivery location, required date and budget before comparing routes. Import Falcon uses this brief to identify the next questions and a suitable sourcing route.
Catalogue or a new sourcing enquiry
If an existing catalogue product fits, check its actual availability and request the relevant buying or quotation route. A listed product is not proof of available stock. For a product outside the catalogue, send a supplier link, drawing or clear specification so the enquiry can be scoped.
Importing or manufacturing locally
Compare samples, materials, setup costs, minimum order quantities, packed dimensions, support and the complete delivered cost. South African manufacturing may suit smaller runs or changes that need close collaboration. An overseas supplier may suit a different production capability or volume. Neither route is automatically cheaper or faster.
Already have a supplier? Define the remaining work
Ask for a scoped freight, customs-costing or delivery brief rather than assuming a full sourcing service is necessary. Identify who buys the goods, approves the sample, acts as importer and releases the shipment. A planning enquiry does not authorize an order or payment.
