Make the comparison like for like
Give each prospective manufacturer the same drawing, material, finish, tolerances, packaging, quantity and acceptance criteria. A lower price for a different specification is not a saving. For aluminium windows, for example, dimensions, profiles, glazing, finish and installation requirements should be explicit.
Separate setup from repeat production
Record tooling, moulds, artwork, prototypes, sample costs, setup charges and ownership of the production files. Compare the first order and repeat orders separately. A quotation should explain minimum quantities, price breaks and which changes require another sample or setup.
Compare delivered cost and support
Local manufacture still needs delivery, packaging, lead-time and support checks. An import adds route-specific origin, freight, customs and currency questions. Compare the complete cash commitment, storage needs, spares and after-sales responsibilities, rather than the supplier's unit price alone.
Ask Import Falcon for a manufacturing brief
Import Falcon helps scope local manufacturing and custom production enquiries alongside import options. The enquiry is reviewed before a supplier commitment. Product development, factory capacity, compliance evidence and production dates must be confirmed for the actual project; this service does not mean Import Falcon owns a factory.
